The Precinct Crusader Project

Synopsis on May 2024 Election

The North Idaho Crusader (and other friends) worked on a voting slate for the upcoming Precinct Committeeman race. I'm excited to share it so you can be more informed about what's really happening in the KCRCC.

There is a status quo of influential, Party-driven Republicans in the KCRCC who have enabled right-wing trolls like Dave Reilly to become associated with local conservatives. These trolls (who call themselves "Groypers") have very colorful pasts advocating for "pie in the sky" ideologies like monarchial government, anti-Jewish/Black rhetoric, and Aryanism. This allegation that we are making sounds absurd, but reality can be stranger than fiction.

In response to this, local progressives like Christa Hazel have used this to galvanize a group called North Idaho Republicans (NIR) to takeover the KCRCC. They're using the plethora of evidence that Dave Reilly and other "Groypers" have conveniently posted on Twitter and elsewhere to substantiate claims that the KCRCC are, well, Nazis.

In short, the May 2024 election will be a very messy 3-way war between:

  1. The Constitutional Republicans. More often then not faithful, Christian believers who happen to be involved in politics and have a solid grasp of the original moorings of the American form of Government. This is the minority in the KCRCC.
  2. The Party Republicans. Those individuals like Brent Regan, Jeff Tyler, and Beverley Guenette that use questionable means to curate, and control every aspect of the KCRCC. They have no problem violating Christian principles in their endeavors.
  3. The "Republicans in Name Only" Republicans. The "North Idaho Republicans" crowd like Christa Hazel, Jack Riggs, Sandy Patano, etc.

The results of the May 2024 election will likely be very mixed, and we will likely see a significantly larger representation of NIR-backed Precinct Committeeman on the KCRCC. There is also a very high likelihood that Brent Regan will lose his chairmanship as a consequence.

A Brief Word on "The Party Republicans"

Despite having massive disagreements with Party Republicans like Brent Regan, Jeff Tyler, or Beverly Guenette they're still preferable over the opponents running against them. If those 3 lose their PC seats to a liberal NIR candidate, there would likely be an unstoppable surge of RINO-ism that takes hold of the KCRCC and Kootenai County for a very long time.

The aim of our voting slate is to maximize the ability for Kootenai County to glorify God. At all costs (and whatever concessions), we must be that "city on a hill" (Matt 5:14).

"None"

For Precinct Committeeman seats that have None for the endorsement, there are two possible reasons:

  1. Insufficient publicly-available information on the candidates. This means donation history, Linkedin, Facebook, etc.
  2. There's only one liberal NIR candidate running for that particular seat. For example, Mary Souza (#407) and Dan Gookin (#416).

Unusual Activity

There are several PC seats where solid conservatives withdrew from the race. This seems unusual, and likely indicates there was a concerted effort by KCRCC "Party Republicans" and others to whittle down the playing field so they could get their guy in.

  • #303 Pierce Duncan. Scott Beckett had some very good donation history to the KCRCC. He withdrew, and leaves the race up to Pierce Duncan and Kirk David (a political unknown). Pierce Duncan may have ties to the Groypers, and the Kootenai Republican Youth that's run by Dan Bell.
  • #307 Nina Beesly. Ken Zaken who is a solid conservative withdrew. This leaves Beesly and Molly Bauer vying for the PC seat. Beesly has a history of covering for Groypers like Dave Reilly and Joe Prado.
  • #407 Mary Souza. Mary Souza is generally considered an establishment Republican, and has a mixed history of supporting RINO Republicans. Art Macomber was the only person running against her, but he withdrew from the race.
  • #504 Eric Klinkhammer. Linda Mitchell is a solid conservative with donation history to the KCRCC and Bruce Mattare. Linda Mitchell withdrew, and now leaves Eric Klinkhammer and Ryan Davis (NIR) vying for that PC seat. Klinkhammer has possible ties to the Groypers.
  • #321 Justin Rupinski. George Mitchell was the incumbent PC with a solid donation history. Mitchell withdrew, and makes this a 2-way race between Justin Rupinki (political unknown) and Charlie Specht (political unknown).

Future: May 2026

This is simple.

Constitutional Republicans need to take all of the Precinct Committeeman seats in the KCRCC. The KCRCC needs to be purged so that only Constitutional Republicans remain. Whether they are RINOs or Party Republicans... they need to go. At base, these two groups are driven by the same thing: money, power, and fame.
